What is the English level required for International Students?

We require a TOEFL score of 480, or a TOEIC score of 700, or Upper Intermediate English level.

Do you arrange accommodation?

No. How ever we will direct you to somebody who can assist you.

What are the pre-requisites required to attend MTI ?

Grade 12, or mature student, and legally entitled to attend school in Canada.

What are the job opportunities if I take this program?

In most of our program areas, well over 90% of our graduates find employment within 60 days. In some programs, such as our Early Childhood Care & Education Certificate program, the employment rate at present is almost 100%.

Is there a registration fee?

Yes. In order to secure a space for you in our upcoming programs, we require $150 deposit, $200 if international.

Is financial aid available?

Yes. Student loans and grants are available to qualified applicants, or you may apply for a loan through a private funder. In some cases, tuition is paid by HRDC or Workers' Compensation.

As each person's circumstances are unique, our advisors will be best able to determine which option is suitable for your needs.

Why should I attend a Private College instead of a Public one?

At MTI , generally there is no waiting list. We tend to have smaller class sizes than the public colleges, and an instructor is present in every class.

Practicum placement and career development modules are included with most of our curriculum to ensure job search proficiency.

Is MTI Community College Recognized?

Yes, we are PCTIA accredited, and recognized by professional associations, employers, and other educational facilities.

Do you help your students secure employment?

Yes! At MTI we prepare you with real skills for real work, so you'll have the advantage of stronger, more in-depth skill sets over other applicants, and you'll require less training on the job, making you highly sought after.

Additionally you'll receive practicum time to develop your practical skills and experience.

How many students will be in my class?

We believe in quality not quantity, so we maintain small classes for a more personal and interactive approach, which also allows for much more contact between you and your instructors.

Why is the tuition at a private post-secondary higher than that of public colleges?

Public colleges are run with public money to supplement costs for students. That's also why they have larger class sizes with as many as 40 students per instructor.

At MTI, our focus is on each individual student's requirements.

We are able to eliminate wait lists, which allows you to get to work in your field of study and earning a great living - as much as a whole year before you might otherwise, if you had to wait to attend a public college.
