General Arts & Science Foundation Diploma

The General Arts & Science Foundation Diploma Program allows students to earn 2 years of transfer credit to a university degree program, in just one year of study.

Students will study first and second year equivalent courses that will prepare them to be able to transfer and complete degree requirements at universities with articulation to MTI’s program. Currently MTI has articulation agreements with San Francisco State University (SFSU) in California, and University Canada Wes (UCW) t in Victoria, B.C.

MTI Community College will provide assistance for International Students to obtain study permits for the 1-year program at MTI. International students who wish to transfer to San Francisco State University must meet SFSU transfer and student visa requirements for the U.S.; students who wish to transfer to University Canada West should consult with us on transfer requirements. All transfer applicants will be given guidance on this process by SFSU or UCW representatives.

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Grade 12/Equivalent or Mature Student (19 years of age or older)
Entrance Assessment. For International Students: TOEFL score of 475 or equivalent .

DIPLOMA REQUIREMENTS:

Overall Average of 60%.(SFSU and UCW: grade point average of 2.4 on a 4.0 scale)

Must pass every course in the program by the minimum required mark of 60%. (SFSU and UCW: with a grade of C or above)

Classes run Monday to Friday 8:00 – 5:00
